Review:

Short story collections are always a bit difficult to review because there are so many works by various authors that each stand on their own while sharing a common theme.  As to be expected, there were some that were much more enjoyable that others.

What I really liked about this collection was each author’s spin on traditional vampire lore.  There were so many interesting takes on the standard stories and each on was completely unique with its own voice. Short stories can be tricky because it’s so difficult to find the balance in telling enough of the story to engage the reader without going too in depth and becoming a full-blown novel.  Though there were a couple that I had to push myself to get through, the majority of them were a joy to read.
