Review:

let’s first talk about this stunning cover! This is the book I’ve been searching for. I’ve read so many magical competition books that people are absolutely in love with, but fell flat for me. This one delivered! The competition was exciting, the magic was beautiful, and characters were engaging. The tie in with the circus troupe was an added bonus! ⁣
The only reason this wasn’t a five star read is the ending. I know this is a duology, hopefully with answers to come, but there was just too much I didn’t understand when it was done. Does it leave me wanting to pick up the next book? Obviously. But it also left me frustratingly confused. ⁣
Overall, I would definitely recommend picking this up! Just know, you’ll be left with lots of questions
